The SSI Technical Extended Range course
As a SSI Extended Range Diver you will show that you have developed competency as a tec diver and have the skills to dive to a maximum of 50m. You know how to safely and successfully make extended, accelerated decompression stops using up to two stage bottle with TWO different EANx gases up to 100% O2.
It’s not easy to reach this level and earning your SSI Technical Extended Range certification opens the door to deeper diving expeditions. You can now continue on to complete TriMix training.
Successful candidates will not only be qualified to conduct decompression dives to a max depth of 50m, but more importantly, the course builds on skills learnt on the previous courses, so you will be comfortable using twins, but now will be managing TWO stage decompression gases. You can then begin the SSI Technical Extended Range Trimix course.
